ATCs again

It is ages since I made ATCs so I decided to get back into doing a few trades. I uploaded to flickr and will post on here soon as I get organised. The doll swap was very interesting as it consisted of an ATC sized doll with moving arms and legs so she could fold up! I was quite happy with the results and am now working on a chocolate theme!!!
At last - took me long enough to get myself organised!! Well I have been on holiday. A lovely week in North Wales with glorious weather. We managed a visit to Portmeirion and really enjoyed it - lots of inspiration so maybe a few new projects in the offing!
Here are a few of the ATCs I have done but still not doing many as I am concentrating on other things.

New projects

Well so much for my intention of keeping this blog up to date!! I just keep on finding more and more projects I want to do and never have time to do them all!!!!!
I signed up for the She Art Workshop with Christy Tomlinson at Scarlet Lime and reallly enjoying the projects. Only problem is I would rather do that than everything else - including all the chores etc. so it is all a bit mad at the moment. Here are my first few canvases - I am sort of hapy with a couple of things and not so happy about others so lots to do yet

Back to papercrafting

After a few projects involving stitching I have just completed a new papercraft project for a swap on one of the Flickr Groups. The challenge was to create a French inspired fan. So think Moulin Rouge, Eiffel Tower and here we go.
I used some stamps I bought a few weeks ago and had not had the opportunity to use so this was a good project to try them out!

Stitching for 2011
This Camelia Pouch is the first thing I have made from a gorgeous book I got for Christmas. Filled with lots of tiny hand made makes - every page is tempting me to make something.
Most of the projects say they can be made in an evening or a few hours, but this one took me about three weeks as I didn't have a lot of spare time to stitch.
I did enjoy doing the hand stitching and found it quite therapeutic.
The pouch is just the right size for my mobile phone, although I was making it with the intention of using it for my MP3 player - I will just have to make another one now. It is felt lined and padded with an extra layer of felt and trimmed with scraps of felt and fabric made into flowers with lots of tiny beads stitched on. I was really pleased with the result and keen to start something else now!

New Year - New start!

Well here we go - New Year already. I have been absent from this blog for so long I almost forgot my password!
Still here goes - getting a tad more time to myself now so hopefully get more making done.
Tag book on the left made for Art and Soul swap on Flickr - button on every page. It felt really good to be making something again.
I have been doing more stitching of late as it seems to make less mess and I can carry it around with me.
Need to sort out all my boxes of stuff to see exactly what I have got, so I was determined not to buy any more crafting goodies in the sales and so far have been succesful. Off now to start sorting through all hose crates and boxes to try to form some order in my storage system!
